Changing a knock sensor

Can anyone tell me if I have to drain the coolant before I remove a knock sensor on an LB9 ?

yep. or you can just unscrew the old one and get the new one in as fast as you can so you only lose a little bit of coolant. make sure to use teflon tape on the new one

You won't lose hardly any radiotor fluid at all by just changing it as fast as you can but tie a towel around your arm so the fluid doesn't run down your armpit. Secondly, I don't think you should add teflon...it already comes with as much as it needs on it and you shouldn't change it. Torque it to 15lbs exactly...no more or your light will come on. Also, get one from the dealer because they had a recall on these on some of the camaros.
