Squeaks are driving me crazy
This is in regards to my '89 IROC in the sig...
Whenver I'm driving my car, I can hear this intermittent (but frequent) squeaking sound comming from what sounds like somewhere towards the back of the car. It even sounds like it's comming from behind the front seats somewhere, but it's too hard to tell. The sound is amplified when I'm going over any bumps, but the sound is there even on normal, mostly flat roads. It's worst at low speeds, and is less audiable at highway speeds. It's also clearly audiable from the outside of the car as well.
The car has never been in an accident, has 117K miles on it, and has T-tops. I have tried many different things to determine what is making the noise: driving with the windows down, driving with the T-tops out, replacing the rear-window shocks (the old ones were completely shot). None of the above makes any difference whatsoever.
I know the T-top cars especially need all of the chassis reinforcment that they can get, and I do plan on getting some good subframe connectors shortly. However, I'm not too confident that even the SFCs will completely eliminate the sound as it is so noticable right now.
Is this kind of semi-constant squeaking a known problem in these cars? What are some things that I can check to try to track-down this squeak (and eliminate it).
I appreciate any suggestions, as this is getting damn near impossible to ignore!

Have you ever lubricated the bushings on the front swingarms, LCAs, torque arm, spring perches, etcetera? Rubber and poly bushings are supposed to be lubricated with silicone as part of the chassis lube. Check your manual.
