Welp, i thought maybe it was the wheels out of balance, or the drums and rotors being warped or the driveshaft, or the tranny mount. All of which i have checked or replaced. So does anyone have any other ideas?
here is exactly what happens. At about 70 mph it gets quite noticable. at 75 it peaks, and gets bad enough that the center radio console shakes enough to make the numbers on my stereo blur a bit. after that it doesnt really get anyworse. thing is, after i replaced the tranny mount, is when it made this vibration feel worse. i knew it was there before, but now it makes my radio blur.
So what the hell can it be? all i can think of it the axle being bent (checked) or the pinion...
so does anybody have any other ideas? cuz i am stumped...

I had a vibration at around 45 mph while coasting, and it turned out to be my u-joints.

I would check the runout in the driveshaft and the pinion yoke with a dial indicator. Put the car on a lift and measure the runout in three places on the driveshaft: front, center, and rear. If it's out, try rotating the driveshaft 180 degrees. It it specs out, then check the runout in the pinion yoke. It the runout is too great, you may need a new pinion yoke or pinion gear. Runout specs are in the service manual I believe.
ok, i was going to do that.. it basically comes down to when i dont need the car and am able to put it up on the stands (the typical ford position) or the mustang stance as i liek to call it. i am going to check the pinion first.. i have a very bad feeling about the pinion being the cuprit... it has had this ever since i bought the car... and i am sure i havent made it any better
