Ive had a total of 4 third gen camaros and firebirds. The first 1 i bought was way back in 1992, It was a 1987 red iroc camaro, it had the wimpy 305 4 barrell automatic.It had only around 50000 miles on it.It was in great shape and looked cool but i was disapointed in the power.When i bought i paid 6.000.00 for it, I sold it 2 years later for 5.900,00.I then bought a sweet 91 Pontiac T/A with T-Tops. It was red with 305 tpi 5-speed I was much happer with the power of this car.My wife got pregnent and i thought i needed a family car.So in 96 i traded it in to my regret It wasnt long until i got the itch to get another one.Within a year i bought another Iroc Camaro.This one was a red 89 Iroc with the 350 tpi automatic.Again this one was in immaculate condition with low miles.But noooooo i had to have more!Within a few months in 97 i traded it in for 96 Ram air Trans Am 6-speed.This car was black and looked cool. Although i loved the power and the 6-speed there was alot of things i didnt like about this 4th gen T/A.For me the seats were uncomfortable, the seat rubbed up against my love handles to much. No matter what i did i coulnd get those seats to fit me right. I think it s because they were leather seats.The dash was very boring looking on this car it looked like almost every other dash on a newer pontiac.I bit more than i could chew with this car I couldnt afford the payments and the insurance. In only 1 year i sold the car. I i paid at least 24.000,00 for it and could only get 19.000,00 for it a year later. The T/A had only 5000 miles on it when i bought it and only 8000 miles on it when i sold it.I was a good boy for a few years and didnt buy any camaros or firebirds In september Of 2002 i got the itch again!!I took a big risk and bought a car off of ebay Luckily the guy was honest and i got myself one sweet car. I bougth a !1989 Firebird T/A with 350 tpi automatic engine Again this car is red in color, man im getting sick of red!! I paid 5200 for it. It has a new 350 and tranny, Fairly new paint job, interier was redone, new tires and wheels, new brakes, all new motors for the headlights and hatch, new ac compresser and many more new parts.I want to get a supercharger and headers put on it Just curious has anybody else had as many or more third gens tham me?Something about these cars just keep drawing me back!!! I would love to hear your stories of the many 3rd gens you guys have had over the years.
