Engine: 355
Transmission: 700r4
Help me put a cam and heads into this 355
Here is where I am at:
355 roller block - one piece rear main seal splayed to 4 bolt
Eagle ESP crank
TRW forged pistons
Stock maf TPI - will go with edelbrock base and AS&M runners soon.
GM pink rods - not theLT1 style, but the older rods. 5.7
1.6rr's
1 5/8 2055's headers
Melling Z28 oil pump
moroso windage tray
stewart water pump
I included the oil pump and windage as the archives suggest a pickup in lost power with the use of these items. So here are my choices for heads after searching for about 6 months. I am afraid many of these heads will be too much for 325hp and 25mpg.
190cc AFR - straight out of the box
200cc Canfield - straight out of the box
Aluminum L98's - ported
Stock ported TPI heads - major porting
As far as cam goes:
Lt1 cam - already have
Lt4 - not the hot cam
ZZ4 cam
What do you think? What combo would you put together? I've got about $1500 to finish the engine and my car will never see a track (its a vert) but I do like to go fast
Also it needs to be emissions legal, though that is what custom PROM tuning is for
