sluggish at low rpm,s

i just finished my cam installation. previous mods are edelbrock 600cfm carb edelbrock performer intake, hedman headers, dynomax catback, no cat, and i'm soon to be replacing the muffler wth somrething a little louder. at low rpm"s like from a stop it seems real sluggish it just doesn't accelerate real quick until rpm's hit around 2000. then it just starts pulling real hard like i want it to. i 'm still running a stock converter on my 700r4 tomarrow i'm putting my th350 in i think i have a stock converter on that and it has a b&m shift kit . is the reason its slow off the line because of the low stall of the converter? i got the crane cams energizer 272 advertised duration lift is .454 recomended minimum rpm is 2000 and maximum is 5000. valve float around 6500. so if i got a new torque convertwer wit ha stall around 2000-2200 it would perform alot better correct?

That pretty much sums it up.

A converter and/or gears would be the answer. The cam is designed such that the motor doesn't make power below 2000 RPM; apparently it's doing exactly what it's supposed to do.

A Turbo 350 will make that worse, because it doesn't have the super-low 1st gear that the 700 does.

Get a 2400-2500 stall converter, and consider upgrading the gears.
