throttle position sensor??

throttle position sensor??

i have a friend that bumped his throttle position sensor up to about 6 or 7 ohms. does anybody out there know how to do this he didnt do it to his car someone else did and he cant remember where it is or how they did it if anyone could help that would be great. he said it helped out the throttle reponse big time.

I'm not sure how your friend is checking and setting her/his TPS, but most of us set our TPS position by voltage instead of resistance. The ECM uses a voltage reference to determine throttle position, so the resistance is insignificant as long as the reference voltage (5VDC logic level) is correct. Stick to the key-on/engine-off voltage method and you'll have much better results.

VADER I DONT KNOW HOW HE ADJUSTED THE TPS. ANYWAYS I DO KNOW THAT HE USED AN OHM METER. BUT I NEED TO KNOW WHERE THE TPS IS AND HOW U ADJUST IT DOES IT REALLY MAKE THE THROTTLE SNAPPY??
