Ok here we go.
No leaks, fluid level is fine. Car drives great, even when it's whining. After the car gets to operating temperature, the power steering whines like a bastard. I did not blees the system until the next day after I had driven about 15 city miles. I think I may have partially burned up the pump. I have an extra one.
Could it be something else? I thought at first that I connected the wrong hoses to the wrong ports on the gearbox, but the guys on this site said it can only be done one way.

Edit: if there was a leak, wouldn't fluid be dripping out of it? There are no fluid leaks whatsoever. I de-greased the whole thing under there after I did the swap because it was pretty dirty. There appears to be no fluid on the cleans engine bay.
