Help! brake question

Ok, here's the problem. I took my car out of the garage to wash it in the driveway. WHen i was moving it around to where the hose would reach, i noticed that it didn't really want to stop, like the brakes weren't quite working. Anyways, when i stopped it and shut it off. I waited a minute, and i decided just to push the brake pedal with the car off, it went in pretty far and made a hissing sound, i pushed it in far and it did this about 3 or 4 times then the pedal was real tight and would barely move in at all. What is the problem here?? Do my brakes need bled, check the master cylinder??

The car didn't want to stop because the brakes were wet.

The hiss noise you heard was your car using the last of the "power" (vacuum) reserve in the power brakes.

Your pedal got hard (-cough-) because there was no more vacuum left to help you push the brakes. You'll feel that again if your car ever stalls, and you do alot of braking to get it to the side of the road.
