Extra Bracing?

I am curious, does anyone out there know exactly how much extra bracing t-top'd cars have? I know you don't wanna cut t-tops into a hard top car because it doesn't have the extra bracing, but where is that bracing? Can it be put in?
Thanks,
Douglas

There's also the additional parts on the doors. T-Top doors have a silver piece on them, located a couple inches above the latch. It makes contact with a similar piece in the same spot (couple inches above striker bolt) on the b-pillar.
