new gauge cluster

I was wonderin, i have an 88 with a 115 mph gauge cluster, and i by chance came across a 145 mph gauge cluster off an 86...and knowing that i probably wouldn't find one again if i didn't get it now, i bought it(a big 35 bucks, whoopy), anyway, when the guy pulled it out i found out it was cable driven, so heres the questions:

Is an 88's mph gauge cable driven?

IF it is, will it work correctly with the 145 mph speedometer or will i need to get some new part to get it to work right?

oh ya, can anyone give me some tips to easily change the mileage gauge so i can synchronize it with mine.

also, the light bulbs used on those clusters are ****, especially after 16 years, i think ill replace em all before i put it in, is there a specific name for these bulbs, the got that green back thing on em and i dunno if they're different from other lil bulbs like that.

Thanks for answering any/all of these questions

Re: new gauge cluster

OK I believe 88 is cable driven (don't quote me on this. Camaro or firebird?) , but I think you will either have to get a different cable, or get a different spinner for it to match the 145. I really don't know how to roll an odometer, sorry. Light bulbs should be available at your local parts store, if not, go to a dealer and get them, just take one or two with you.

if the spinner is the thing that attaches the cable to the gauge cluster, i have it. I would think that the spinner is adjusted to use the same cable so it would be easier to assemble them with all the different clusters...i hope im right, cuz i have no friggin clue how they got that cable where it is in the first place....anyway, thanks for the feedback
