It's right behind the ignition key.... seems to be like a release to permit the ignition to turn to off or go into accesorie position. But the key removes in the off (but not locked) position without using it.

Is is a safety feature that's not working???

The key isn't supposed to come out anywhere except in the Lock position, but when they get worn enough they'll come out in any position. The latch is supposed to keep the key from being turned to Lock unless it's pushed. Only manual trans cars have it.

Cool, Can anything be done to fix it, any adjustments in the steering column, or is it broken forever? (I'm not looking to replace it, just a quick fix)
