i just swaped out a 700R4 for a T5 and my car sometimes dies while slowing down. does this sound like problem with the chip still thinking it has a auto tranny in it?

 

You do know that when you slow down in a manual you have to shift it into a lower gear or put in the clutch right?

 

Did you connect the speedometer? When I swapped trannies I left the spdo not connected for a while. If the ecm does not get a signal from the spdo it will stall. You will also get a code for the vss. After I fixed the spdo(cable to electric)all was fine. The auto chip worked ok but the idle would hunt. I now have a correct chip and all is well.
