intake identification

can anyone tell me about this intake? the casting number is 14044838. I have it sitting in the garage. I heard that there was something special about it, but it looks normal to me. Is there anywhere I can look up intake casting numbers? like mortec.com? Thanks.

Are you certain that is the right number? It comes up as a crankshaft casting...

it looks like 14044838 but the last digit could be a 6.

where are you looking the number up at?

it was produced by GM, if that helps.

14044838 comes up as a H/D crank.

Chevrolet high rise aluminum intake manifold #14044836 was original equipment on early Z28 and LT1 small-blocks.

That's the intake. Thanks for the link Morley.
Will this fit on any heads? The guy it's from had it on 'bow tie' heads and said the angle between the heads and intake was different than normal. Is this true?

The intake runner angle may be higher, but the port positions should be the same.
