Speedo not working, new sensor and still not working
Ok so my speedo hasn't work since I bought the car, it was originaly thought it was the speed sensor since it was busted, but I finally got a new sensor (for free too
), but the speedo still doesn't work, odometer works now but thats it, so it's probably the wiring or the actual speedometer
My question is how can I check to see if it the speedo thats bad or the wiring?? Or could there be something lse thats causeing this problem?

is your speedo electric or manual?
I took mine out recently (89 or 88 depends on who you talk to)
and it appears to be entirely mechanical and it's running off the odo cable...
it's like a piece of U (broad base) metal whoose 2 ends are just outside a magnet attached to the odo cable so when the odo cable spins it spins the magnet which moves the speedo...
and based on how fast it's spinning makes it move higher up..
the VSS is only of use for the ECM I think...
