SES light FLASHING on and off ?!?!
SES light FLASHING on and off ?!?!
Ok, here's the deal:
1987 L98 GTA
cut out the maf screens, started it back up, bam.. ses light, i figure no biggie, happens to everyone, it should go away... then it starts to stumble and catch itself, then it got REAL bad and almost stalls... so i shut it off, pull off the MAF make sure its clean and all that, retighten everything.. now the SES is flashing on and off. why? what does it mean? right now i unplugged the batt to clear the codes and go from there. anyone have any ideas?? thanks,

Sounds kinda dumb but is the connector fastened properly on the maf? Tap the maf and see if the idle goes down, if so you have a bad maf sensor. All I can really think of....

welp, nevermind on the flashing SES thing.. (left the paper clip in... man im a dumbass..) and as far as code 33, it magically went away. but knowing my GTA, it will be back sometime next week when I'm taking my girlfriend out. thanks for the help.

K&N, Ram Air, Throttle body coolant bypass, AIR system removed, 3" pipe to flowmasters, dual 12" electric fans, 4 core alum radiator, 160* stat, high output h20 pump and alternator, Accel Cap, rotor, 8.8mm wires, Bosch Plats, AFPR, Performance chip(unknown kind), Nitto NT555r 245/50/16 drags rear, Yokohama Advan 032r 245/50/16 fronts, JVC KDSX939 Head unit, Kenwood Excelon 4x6's, Kenwood Excelon 4 way 6x9's, Kenwood 606c amp, Power Acoustic Crossover, 2 JL 10w0's in custom bandpass box.
Best Run: R/T .601; 60' 2.010; 330' 5.990; 1/8 9.154@76.89mph; 1000' 11.997; 1/4 14.489@ 96.78
(only mods at that time were the K&N, exhaust,chip & no drag radials)
