pont stroking a 400 to 455

pont stroking a 400 to 455

if i start with a pontiac 400 from a 78 T/A can i use the whole rotating assembly from a 455? or do i need to use the 455 rods with 400 pistons?

Axle/Gears: 3.73 posi with spacer
You need to have the 455 crank turned down to the 400 main size. Then you could bore the block to the 455 pistons stock being +.030" compasred to 400 bore. Then you could use the 455 rods and pistons.

ok, thx, the pistons would be stock for the 455 at .030 over on the block right?
