Spark Plug Gappin
Spark Plug Gappin
Question for you guys I have a 1982 Camaro with a 350 Chevy, with a full msd ignition. What is the best gapping to use for a compression ratio of 9.8.1. .050-.060 what is the best gap to set them at. I am using NGK TR5 plugs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Justin

I'm running my '350 with MSD 6AL/Blaster Coil and Gap at .045. Stock for my car was .035... stock for the heads with TPI was .045. .045 works for me. I don't see alot of benefit from over gapping.
If you go too big, you'll actually feel a decrease in power, but you wont feel any gains. IMHO.
