ECM removal?

ECM removal?
I have swapped out my intake manifold, carb & distributer/coil, so the ecm no longer does anything.
Would it hurt anything to remove it from behind the passenger side dash, & clean up the engine compartment of all of the old connectors that went to sensors I no longer have?
