T Handle on a ripper

i just installed a ripper shifter in my manual, the stock black ball handle looks dumb against the chrome stick. would a chrome T-Handle from B&M look good, or would it make it look like too much of an automatic? also, does anybody know how to change the boot leather color? like to red? actually i'd like to replace the console with the ash tray and boot and gear #ing.

87,

I installed a Ripper a couple of weeks ago (love it!). Anyway, I wanted a stock look, and with the factory boot and **** in place, the chrome of the shifter is invisible. By the way, B&M makes a universal shifter T-handle (p/n 80641 in alum), which will not fit. Go for the Hammer.

you will notice shorter shifts. you can feel a little snap when it shifts into gear. the shifts feel alot more accurate then a stock shift its very hard to miss that shift to third.

You could also get the T-handle from hurst. They come in brused aluminum and some other shiny metal(chrome or shiny aluminum, idunno). I've got one in mine and it looks ok-perhaps a little out of place in a car that new but its way better than stock-and in a week or so I'm gonna install a b&m ripper and put the hurst **** right on top.
Then again thats just my opinion

I have a hurst short throw shifter and I could not get a hurst t handle to screw on, I tried all of the diffrent adpaters they had and could just not get it to fit.
