car dies while driving

Help!!!! Still learning about this car. Now my 87 T/A dies while driving. Starts right back up but dies shortly again.350tpi engine any ideas. Also sending unit has been out a while will this have any effect? Like always your help is appreciated.Wig

first off, what sending unit has been off for a while? also, does it just shut off or will it run rough first then die

It is the fuel sending unit. it seems to die when i slow down to make a turn or come to a stop
