oooookay, drum gears to a posi rear......

did the 9 bolt ever come as a posi drum set up. If so can i get a drum rear (ring, pinion, with the posi carrier) and install it all into my 2.77 housing posi/disc housing??? Boy,posi discs are hard to come by in any flavor

First, I don't believe the 9-bolt ever came with drum brakes.

Second, let me see if I understand your question correctly. I think you are asking can you take the gears (ring, pinion and carrier) out of a drum rear end and put it into a disc rear. Is this correct? If so, then yes this is possible, as long as they are both 9-bolts.

yep i want to get a drum rear/ or just the posi and gears from a 9 bolt and install in mine. I had a guy from a local yard today tell me he had a 3.27 ratio (must be 9 bolt) with drums so i'm looking in that direction cuz , no one out here has posi discs let alone 9 bolts I thought all B/W were posi ?????? thnx for the reply though....
