Centerbolt head conversion????

Does anyone know if you can go from centerbolt heads to standard heads. Are there any mods that need to be done for this to happen. The reason IM asking is because a fried is selling me a set of 2.02 /1.60 SR torquer heads and man I really want to put them on my 88 5.7 TPI GTA.

yes you could use the perimeter bolt heads, but waht you might need to check is the intake base. The two middle holes might need to elongated for it to bolt on the head.I dont know what else..

The holes are all you need to worry about. I did the opposite convesion this spring: I went to centerbolt heads on my 2-pc rear main shortblock in my 1984 Trans Am. I'm using an older Edelbrock performer intake, and I need to slot the four inner intake bolt holes. I sprayed the intake gasket with Permatex ultra-copper spray-a-gasket, and there are no leaks whatsoever.
