Making mpg better.........

Name off everything that you know that would help your mpg because I've got a 2.8 and I get roughly 15 to the gallon. I want to save up some money and do a whole lotta stuff to my car all at once just to see what kind of a difference I would see in my mpgs.....any suggestions?

First a standard tune-up, plugs, wires, disturbutor cap and rotor is a good begining. Then you could get an MSD Ignition system or better yet a Jacobs Ignition if you can afford it.
And of course don't go around town speeding.
Good Luck!

Probly a stupid response but, what the hell does your ignition have to do with mpgs?

Ignition will effect mileage. The more complete the burn in the combustion chamber, the more efficent the engine will operate. Efficiency is the key to mileage. That is, getting the most power(used to move your car down the road) per unit(gallon) of gas. The biggest factor if the engine is tuned up is your driving style. Also, get rid of any stuff in the car you don't need. Less weight helps as well.

AcSeb,

Don't forget tire pressure, synthetic fluids, four-wheel alignment, and brake adjustment. Repack and adjust your wheel bearings. Check the pinion angle. Minimize exhaust restriction. Install a clean air filter. Make sure the oxygen sensor is accurate. Clean the EGR valve to make sure it seals completely.

Later,
Vader
