SLP cold air intake pics?
SLP cold air intake pics?
anyone have any pics of the slp cold air induction kit (trans am) uninstalled, and also installed. Im thinking of fabricating my own.. i dont like the ghetto ram air setup I have now, and was wondering if I could copy the slp one.. thanks

K&N, Ram Air, Throttle body coolant bypass, AIR system removed, 3" pipe to flowmasters, dual 12" electric fans, 4 core alum radiator, 160* stat, high output h20 pump and alternator, Accel Cap, rotor, 8.8mm wires, Bosch Plats, AFPR, Performance chip(unknown kind), Nitto NT555r 245/50/16 drags rear, Yokohama Advan 032r 245/50/16 fronts, JVC KDSX939 Head unit, Kenwood Excelon 4x6's, Kenwood Excelon 4 way 6x9's, Kenwood 606c amp, Power Acoustic Crossover, 2 JL 10w0's in custom bandpass box.
Best Run: R/T .601; 60' 2.010; 330' 5.990; 1/8 9.154@76.89mph; 1000' 11.997; 1/4 14.489@ 96.78
(only mods at that time were the K&N, exhaust,chip & no drag radials)

SLP online has a couple of pics of the cold air kit for the T/A. I ordered mine from them. I don't think it has a pic of it on the car though, but it looks a lot better than the stock intake. I really think its worth looking into though. It didn't make much of a difference in the low rpm range, but onece it gets above 2800 the car really picks up. It also gives the engin a nice healthy roar as compaired to the stock intake.
