Idle problem on carb rebuild

I just rebuild my stock carb (Rochester Quadrajet) on my '84 T/A - I didn't get so far as to pulling the mixture control solonoid as I was more interested in cleaning the body and replacing the gaskets. However when I reinstalled it, I get a bad idle. That is, the engine idle keeps changing on me, apparently as the engine temperature changes. I think the mixture control solonoid is still functioning as I can hear it buzzing away, but I'm wondering if I knocked something out of adjustment. Is it pretty easy to do on these type carbs? Can it be fixed/readjusted or am I just better off buying a rebuilt and putting that in?

Thanks!

I think I found part of the problem- the mixture solenoid plunger was bent. Not the plunger itself, but the flat piece that it goes thru. This is the piece that the mixture needles and idle air bleed contact with.

Anyone wanna take shot at this? I'd like to try to fix the carb- I just priced a rebuilt at $250 + core
