Starter Problems....

My starter makes a ding noise when i try to start it......

Sometimes it will start right away, and sometimes it will make a click/ding noise 2-4 times, then start....

When it's hot, it doesn't work at all, no noise........

Do i need a new starter or just a new starter selonoid???

Thanks in advance

It is more than likely the solenoid. Try to replace it and the brushes while you are at it.

Just buy a reman starter, after you return your core the cost is minimal.

Try a new Solenoid, if you change your starter don't get some POS from discount auto or something, get gm or something better
