Engine Ideas.

One of my friends just bought an 03 Cobra. It will deffinatly smack around my 94 Z. Moral of the story, we can't have this. I am rebuilding an 86 Camaro at the time and have a 350 block that is bored .040 over. I was thinking along the lines of throwing in a smaller crank to make the thing rev quicker. Using the same idea as the 302 motors. Well the Reason I want it to rev quick is because the engine will be supercharged. I will be going with all forged internals. What would work better with a supercharger, the standard stroke, a shorter stoke, or go with the longer stroke. I know i will be losing tq if i go with the smaller crank and gaining some if i go with the bigger crank. I already have planned a stealth ram, a set of Pro Lightning heads, and still coming up with a cam that would match my set up. What do you guys think would be best keeping it at 357 cubes, and just get forged everything, or destroke it, or stroke it.

Cliff notes. Friend bought 03 Cobra, Cobra faster than Camaro, Must make camaro faster, please help me

less stroke does not equate to more rpms. you can do the math and figure out the weight of the parts and maybe come up with a little more, but it's pretty meaningless. if you want more rpm you need to improve the ability to move air in and back out of the engine ,and light weight parts doesn't hurt. as rb likes to say don't spend your money on bullets to shoot yourself in the foot with buy removing 48 or more cubic inches from your engine.

Exactly what ede said!
Dont ever take away cubes, I like addding them though and I think stroking it would be a great idea.
Good Luck!
