I have the 305 G 4bbl in my '85 Z. I just took it out of storage last month an it's been behaving badly. At part throttle I get a skip or what feels like a misfire . Under acceleration it's ok. Even at idle it's ok, with a little skip. I replaced my EGR valve, because it was original! It helped but not entirely. My rotor, coil and wires are only two summers old. Even the plug are fairly new. Could it be a fuel problem? Could my EGR solenoid be shot? Please advise, summer cruises are coming soon! Thanks.

i have an 88 iroc-z.....and im having the same problem.....i asked the guy at autozone when i was gettin stuff to wash my car with and he said that its the gas i put in it, so i switched and its still doin the same thing....i just got this car 2 weeks ago, and i wanna be able to drive it without it doin this....so if u find out whats wrong with ur car, maybe u could help me with mine?

Are you running regular octane, plus or premium? Do you have the tuned port engine in it? You may benifit from some carb/ fule injector cleaner. I think I may change out my fuel filter next and check my plugs. That might be a good thing for you to try before you throw a lot of money at your car. Send me a pick of your car when you can

 

im running on plus right now, i was running on regular....i bought a new fuel filter but havent had the time to change it, and i put that fuel injector cleaner in it and dry gas....its tuned port...and i had new plugs put on it last weekend.
