EGR to hot to touch?
For some reason, maybe I just never noticed before, my EGR gets so hot it's too hot to touch. Even the top of the solenoids. Is that normal? It just seems like it's getting more hot than it should or did before, can't find any kind of exhaust leak, infact just redid the gaskets on the egr......

I know that the EGR will definately get to a point where it is too hot to touch--it does, after all, recirculate exhaust gas. That's normal.
However, I seem to remember there being a condition in which it will get noticably hot too fast. My '88 Camaro had an issue once where it would get hot enough in a matter of minutes to boil the sticker on top of the valve. My mechanic ended up fixing it.
Unless yours gets too hot to touch after only a couple of minutes of run time, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Yeah that was my concern, just wondering if it was the norm, i know these engines run hot. It was after running hard for some time so I'm not gonna worry about it then.
