clear gauge lens
The clear plastic lens that covers the gauges has some spots on it that won't come off from the previous owner. It must have been some sort of cleaner he used on the dash and it reacted with the plastic. Is there any way to polish this out?

The only thing I could suggest would be some tooth paste on a rag, followed by some good car wax to try to buff it out. I tried that one time and got a few spots out of mine.
i had a ford truck that had the same problem. i had to take the glass off and clean it with degreaser, the glass cleaner to get some of the spots off.

Yes,
It can be polished out. Use polishing compound and a cotten cloth. There are various plastic polishing coumpounds as well. I 3M micro-finshing comp, followed by micro-finishing glaze. I have had good results with std polishing compiunds as well.
If there is a stubborn spot, wet sand with 600-800, and work your way higher. Rubbing, then polishing compound.

I saved some elbow grease, and just went to the junkyard and grabbed a nice one out of a 92 Z28 that was perfect. Cost...$3.00.
