Does size matter ?
Does size matter ?
I am about to change the oil on my thirdgen. The last oil Filter I got was the tiny *** white thing from Pepboys that looked like it went to a Toyota. They assured me it was the right one. Sure enough,it was. The FRAM filters I used to get were like twice the size. Does size matter ? I imagine the bigger filters would allow more oil to pass through. Any thoughts ?

First thing is to stop using cheap filters like Fram.
The small filter and the large filter will both work. However, the large filter has more capacity. Once the filter's capacity is full of dirt, it will bypass the filter and send dirty oil to your engine. If you change the oil and filter often, the size won't matter.
Use an AC filter.
