What did I just break?

This is on my '88 Camaro in the sig...

I was pulling plug wires off of the distributor when my "flying hand" pulled off and broke a part (at least I didn't break my knuckles like I usually do ). Basically, it's a small black cylinder with a diameter similar to that of a dime. It has three small vacuum hoses comming out of it: one directly into the intake plenum, the another to the black cannister close to the driver's side headlights (just forgot the name), and the last one disappears off into the wiring harness going through the firewall.

Any idea what this part is called and where I can get a new one from?

Thanks

Sounds like the EGR solenoid. Mine doesn't exactly look like that on my 87, but maybe they changed to a different design.

Sounds like a vacuum check valve. I've seen them at Advance auto. They probably cost around 4 or 5 dollars.

I found one at AutoZone--it's a vacuum check valve. Thanks for the replies!
