install headers before or after swap
install headers before or after swap
I am going to swap out my 305 in my 91 rs for a 350 probably this winter.(both are TBI engines) Should I go ahead and install headers, 3inch Y-pipe, and 3 inch cat back now or will it be a lot easier if I just wait till I put the new engine in?
I was thinking about getting the exhaust work done now and making sure brackets, Etc and everything fit and other bugs are worked out ahead of time but not sure if it will make the 350 swap easier or if its worth it now.
Would 1 5/8inch headers be ok for both engines
assuming I will probably only be around
275 to 300 Hp with the new 350??
Once again, thanks...

If you happy with the car now and can wait til you get the 350 this winter, I would wait to install your headers. It's is a PITA to install them. Especially twice
. I did not run in to any problems with installing them, it is pretty straight forward.
