Where is the Mass Air Flow Sensor Relay?

Well, I think I've narrowed it down to a bad relay. Now, does anyone know where they are located? I don't have a factory manual (soon, very soon), so any help would be appreciated.

On the firewall above the brake booster, there's 3 relays, fuel pump, MAF power, MAF burnoff.

Nothing, just the function, one supplies power to the MAF and one powers the burnoff circut, they are interchangeable.

Thanks guys! Which one would cause my car to trip a code and refuse to accelerate. I can go about it by replacing one and driving it, and switch if not the correct one. I'm just trying to understand the function of the two relays.

Thanks again.

hey guys

I used to own a 85 TPI car and had about the same problem. Does your car have the delco maf or the bosch. the bosch was used for like 2-3 yrs . on my old 85 the burn module and relay was bolts on e bracket with the ECM. the problem with those are the traces in the circiut board would burn up i fixed mine twice. i finally located it in a 85 service manual from GM

That module was only used in 1985. I currently have 2 of them not being used..and to think GM wants like $800 for one.

Okey, I replaced both MAF relays, TPS sensor, and Mas Air Flow sensor last night and the car is still dying. It will run for a couple of miles and then the gas pedal just becomes dead. The car won't die, but pressing the gas pedal does nothing or even causes a loss of rpm's (to a point at or below 500 rpm). It throws a '33' code and the service eng. light comes on. Could it be my computer?

Possibly, but first check the female pins in the MAF conncetor (harness end) and make sure none of them are spread apart.
If you have a friend with a MAF setup you could borrow their ECM and try it, if it is good try swapping out their memcal and putting in yours and see if that does anything.
