I just pulled an all nighter-just one more thing and my car will finally be running!!

Where does the throttle return spring connect to...telling me won't help I need pictures because I'm baffled. It's an Edelbrock carb and a 700r4 type bracket, please help...after this I can fire her up!!!

Engine: just a little 5.7(LS1-320/340 RW)
Transmission: SMOOOOOOTH T-56/Auto. . .
Axle/Gears: 3.42 and 2.73

Oh yeah, you've definitely been thrashing all night - uh, take a peek at the picture, then go catch about 6 hours sleep before you locate the spring and light the beast.

In your present condition, well........

You need some sleep pro.

bad pic but there is a bracket that you can but the bolts to the front of the intake.

OK guys I appreciate your help, I finally just woke up and I guess I must have a different spring than MeanYellowZ and Evil because mines' about 4" long? I wish I had a digital camera....

do you understand what piece I'm talking about? maybe I called it the wrong name?

Well I don't have a pic of my Edelbrock carb install, but all I did was buy a returm spring that came with a small bracket from a local auto parts place. I just bolted on the bracket using the valve cover bolt that is towards the front of the engine. Hooked up the spring and it worked fine.
Good luck with it.

Well PJ, here is how i did my spring

But that was a little custom fabrication/engineering.
The throttle control arm on the carb wasn't lining up well w/the throttle cable...so i moved it, and tranny kick-down line...pftt... like there was one to begin with.
The spring was just added around everything else and what do you know...it works

I have the setup your talking about but no pic.
One end goes to the bracket that attached to the intake and the other end goes to the same bracket that your throttle cable is attached to on the carb...
