Sprayed vinyl cleaner on engine now it's acting up???

A couple days ago I sprayed some vinyl cleaner on all the hoses and most of the plastic under the hood. The next day I drove the car and it started lurching on me like it was going to stall. Could it be that some of the cleaner got on an electrical componant and threw things out of wack? I didn't douse the engine, just the hoses and most of the plastic. I drove it yesterday and it didn't do it as bad, but it still lurches like it's going to kill on me. Any ideas??

If the Vinyl cleaner contained Silicone, it could have destroyed the Oxygen sensor, that's just an educated guess, have you gotten any codes?

It would have needed to get inhaled in pretty large quantities for that to happen tho.

I didn't use too much of it except on the hoses. I just can't think of what would cause the car to act like this. It was fine until I sprayed that stuff under the hood.

I would look in the direction of the TPS, its on the left side of the throttle body when you look at the engine from the front. It can be checked with a voltmeter, should read around .3~.6 with the throttle closed, and up to 4.x+ at WOT. You can check it with the key on, I believe its the blue wire (its the one in the middle) you would hook up to the positive end of the voltmeter, and ground the other end of the voltmeter. Should have a nice steady progression of voltage from closed to open.
Thats my guess anyway. TPS's dont like anything wet.
