intermittant no start
intermittant no start
when my motor gets hot(above 200 or so), if I shut the car down and wait a few minutes, then go to turn the key to start, nothing will happen. No click, nothing. I'm able to jump the starter soleniod with a jumper wire, so the starter is good. Has anyone else had this problem and solved it? If it's not the solenoid wire, what else could it be?
I had this exact smae thing happen to me, and believe it or not, All i had to do was tighten the connecton at the battery, and it stopped happening. i dont hnow why it did it olny when it was hot.
Sounds like starter heak soak to me. My 92 Formula had this problem and tried virtually anything. Then I pulled the starter. My starter actually showed signs of warping. Plus if its the original starter and you have over 100k, its probably just plain worn out. I've noticed that after 100k f-bodies start having some starter problems. Luckily starters are pretty cheap. Though it would invest in a heat shield.
