it seems whenever my 87 iroc sits for a month whenever you start it up, it'll run really rough.. IE: flooring it produces NO power what so ever..
after after having it running for a bit, it runs great. only seems to happen over extended periods of time without running it.

gas seems ok for a while, my uncle only driives his iroc once every few months, starts up puts top down gets in and goes, hes had the same tank in there for a year or so now, i think
A year is pushing it. Over time gas turned to varnish and gets gummy. Can cause injectors and jets to clog up.I'd say if you plan on letting your ride sit for more than a couple months add some stabalizer to the gas, then run it long enough so the treated stuff gets through the pump and vital engine parts.

Depends on how much fuel is in there.
When I totalled my '86 in May of 1996, it took a month to get the coin up for a parts car, and all the welding work, and the windshield swap. When I was done putting the car back together, I grabbed the fire extinguisher, put the key in, and cranked the motor. It cranked but didn't start. Over & Over again, same result... I thought I put the wiring harness back in wrong, or there was a ripped wire that I didn't repair.
Dad suggests I go take a walk for some gas. 3 cans later, the car started right up (and dumped a huge cloud of smoke over my block)! When I wrecked it, it had under 1/8th tank of gas in there. The stuff must've died from sitting in the hot sun and the cold nights.
Dammit, Microsoft's down again?
I gotta turn that feature off on my cell phone. At least Oracle's up.
