Building up 482" BBC for my 85 Camaro. My question is how far does the balancer go on the crank. It butts up to the crank gear but the snout on the crank is about 1/5 inch from being flush. I'm running a gear drive. this is an aftermarket balancer. Did I get a wrong one or? Help this novice builder.

 

the crank snout will be recessed in the bore of the dampner, i think that's what you're asking.
