Oil filter boss bolts?

Anyone know what size bolts I need to hold in the oil filter boss (the part the oil filter screws onto)? Thanks!

Thanks! Should I buy black oxide or any type of special coating on the bolts? Any lock washers required at all? My engine was dissassembled years ago and I've since lost the bolts for it, and dont remember anything about them.

I think they're about 1". Factory ones have a washer head IIRC. No special treatment as far as plating or any of that is needed; after all, they're immersed in oil 100% of the time. If you use regular bolts, use flat washers with them.

Yea, I figured that since they were in oil, any decent bolt would be fine. Thanks for the info guys!

If you want the OEM bolts, 3951644 is the GM part #. $0.95 each

Thanks! Is there any kind of gasket that goes between the boss and the block?
