thanks max...he told me it was a 4 bolt, but try to help me figure this one out...
I assumed that my block was like stated above, 69-80 350 (it has drivers side dipstick), but here's where it gets wierd...I bought a Mr. Gasket dipstick for a 1965-1977 SBC and it is a much different size than my exsisting dipstick...
What the heck is going on here? Did I get the magical 350 block with a different dipstick for the years 78-80?

The 010 block is one of the most common of all the 350 castings. The factory fitted most with 2-bolt caps and a few with 4-bolt.
The Mr. G gauge and tube assembly is all but identical to the factory one, except that the tube is straighter than the GM one. How does its size differ from your current one?
