MSD Ignition question...

Ok, let's say I buy a 6A Ignition... will I use my current ignition module or would the MSD just skip it? I ask this cause I might get MSD 6A in a few months but I think I need my current ignition module replaced. So should I just wait and go without replacing the module cause the MSD will not use it or do I need to buy a new one?

Hope my post was clear enough

You will still need your ignition module.
