update on the starting problem
I remember making sure that the dots on the sprocket gears lined up. I was thinking about that also the other day.I talked to the mechanic fri , He said mon he will look at it. at first he told me it had compression bc he felt the air blow out of the #1 plug. but now it seems like he is leaning towards that being the problem. I set the roller rockers down but I don't think i made them too tight. whats the correct way to set them? and how much compresion should there be? Thanks again guys

sorry i don't know your history, but i take it you've done a mod or rebuilt the engine. i set rockers by tightening the nut untill the push rod stops spinning (with engine off). you have to watch with new parts because the lifter will start to spin and it'll look like the push rod is spinning.
