I'm looking at buying a 91 formula 350. I've emailed the guy selling it and called him at least 30 times, with no replies or answers. I know where the car is, I've even gone and looked at it twice. I've got the VIN, but I want to know the RPO codes, and since I can't get in touch with this guy, I was wondering if there's any places I can find the RPO codes for free or very cheap. I searched for stuff on this, and a few people said they talked to a dealer or customer service line and they gave them the RPO codes by looking up the VIN. I tried two different dealers and both of them said there's no way to do that. I think they just didn't want to help me because I wasn't buying a car from them. thats gonna be a bit tricky...to retrieve codes from a vin# you can try calling GM i got a restoration packet from them and they are really nice. If not youll have to wait till you can get into the car and take a look inside your console

 

I think GM kept RPOs with the VIN after the 1990 model year.
