before i buy!!! Some advice please

I'm definitly considering buying an 86 Camaro. It has a 305 in it and it runs. Only one problem it idles and starts fine. but when driving it it has some slow as molasis pickup, the person i consulted about this said he'd just put another engine in and be done with it. I can do that for not much but i want some opinions first.

If you want to get into motor swapping and the body is solid, then what can I or any one else say except for go for it. How is everything except the motor, is the price right, do you like the colour, does it have what you want, inside, ouside, drive train. you are really the only person who can answer your question, just make the decision that makes you happy, thats all

the body is great the interior is in ok condition(needs dash pad and new shift ****. pwr locks and windows there is a ding in the passenger side door. but i plan to get the car pianted a nice color so body work would be taken care of. the price would be 1500 is this too much for a car with 130k on the dash

Keep in mind that if it is "slow as molasas", it could be a fuel pump/filter, plugged cat, or another problem NOT related to the motor.

I would hate to see you take the time to do a motor swap and still have the problem.
