Code 54? Is Haynes right?

It's says something about an M/C selonoid (sorry about spelling) and ECM wiring. When I brought my car to one of my relatives (a mechanic) his book said it was something about fuel pump circuitry.

SB,

The error codes are shared among several different engine/fuel system combinations, and therefore have different meanings depending upon which system you have. Soooo, what year/engine/fuel system do you have?

SB,

I'm with Ron. Check the fuel pump circuit. The ECM is supposed to get a voltage signal back from the fuel pump power feed on terminal 'B2' at the ECM. It's a tan/white wire from terminal 'A' at the fuel pump relay. If the ECM sees less than 2VDC at this terminal when the fuel pump is supposed to be running, the code will set.

hehe. I just got this code. I burnt up the output from the ECM by wiring my heated oxygen sensor on the wrong relay wire. Joy. Time for a new computer
