Four corner idle....
Four corner idle....
I just bought a 750 Speed Demon carb with mechanical secondaries. It has a four corner idle setup. What are the advantages of this? Does this allow the secondaries to be partially open at idle? I seem to think it does because I had to set the transfer slot openings the same for both the primaries and secondaries, according to the instructions. On a side note, has anyone watched the tuning video that Demon gives out with their carbs??? You'd think a company of their stature could have used something more than a home video camera, lol. Thanks in advance.

Four corner idle adjustments allow the end user to further fine tune the idle circuit for a cleaner, more responsive idle mixture and improved throttle response. As far as the idle tranfer slots..I set my secondaries to just below the slot and that has seemed to work the best for my setup. With the secondaries open an equal amount to the primaries the idle was way to high with anything but the slightest opening on the primaries.Usually you only set them equal on very large cammed motors or ones that idle over 1,000 rpm.As far as the video..i bought my Demon before that was available so i have no say.
