When I step on the gas the car hesitates. it sounds like one of my pistons isn't fireing.

What kind of noise does it make, metal on metal, spark knock, grinding, normal miss???. what colour is the exhaust, black, blue, white....?. how is your oil, when was your last tune up, how are your plugs, any previous valve problems, TBI TPI CARB?????. pull out a few plugs and check their condition, are they bad. how is your fuel pressure, emissions system, sensors, has it over heated lately, problems starting???. we do need a little more info before we can truly help you, but this will give yu a few places to start anyway.

what's wrong, hmmmm. i think it is the carb. belt. possibly the knuter valve near the 10th injector.
