My EVAP canister makes a funny noise. When its hot outside, after turning the engine off it sounds like a far away vacuum cleaner. It makes a high, meeping noise, and the hose connected to it vibrates. I also get fuel odor in the car when the canister is doing that.
BTW, if I open the tank to let pressure out, the meeping stops for a while and comes back on then.

Is that thing broken or whut?

It sounds like the purge control valve or tank pressure control valve are getting dry and not sealing well. You can get a replacement purge valve at many auto parts stores.
